Aarón Álvarez
Aarón Álvarez was born in Granada, Nicaragua, to René and Zaira Álvarez. He is the grandson of Carlos Arana, a composer, radio, and theater writer, and Ena Marenco, a dancer of Spanish and Moroccan Jewish heritage (from Galicia, Casablanca). Aarón Álvarez has had a fantastic journey in the world of entertainment. He started performing for his neighborhood friends at a young age, and his passion for the arts and music has always been a big part of his life. Due to political and religious persecution, he moved from Nicaragua to New York City. Throughout his career, Aarón has been dedicated to music and the arts. He began as a college radio producer and host and eventually made his mark in commercial radio in NYC. His exceptional talent and interview style led to opportunities to work with major music labels like Sony Music, Warner Music, BMG, Universal, and indie music labels. He's played a significant role in the success of many artists, including Ricky Martin, Shakira, Calle 13, Café Tacuba, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and many others. It was during his early years as a young and ambitious musician, actor, and hardworking individual. Aarón Álvarez was inspired by a local neighbor, co-worker, and friend of the actor Peter Facinelli, known for his performances in films like "Can't Hardly Wait," the TV series "Nurse Jackie," "Fastlane," "Twilight," and "The Scorpion King and other films. At the beginning of his career in the film industry, Aarón Álvarez participated in and worked as a background actor, stand-in, and body double in films like "Down To Earth" with Chris Rock, Paramount Pictures, and "Carlito's Way" with Al Pacino and Sean Penn. He has also appeared in TV series such as OZ on HBO, "Law & Order," "Sex and The City", and other indie films in NYC. After having a successful career in the Latin music scene in the US and abroad, Aarón Álvarez continues pursuing his acting and film career as he follows his passion and dream of working with many actors who have influenced his career and love for the dramatic arts and filmmaking. He continues to travel between Atlanta, NYC, LA, and Miami as an actor and film student, contributing to various projects in the film industry in the Atlanta area and working on his TV and film studies in LA and the Georgia Film Academy.
