Genesis Forney
Genesis Forney is a versatile performer with an extensive background in theater, film, and dance. Genesis has cultivated a strong technical foundation through training at prestigious institutions, including the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive, The Barrow Group, and the Harlem School of the Arts. With a specialized focus on improvisation and movement, they have developed a dynamic range that translates seamlessly across both stage and screen. On stage, Genesis has portrayed beloved characters such as Dory in *Finding Nemo* and Nala in *The Lion King*. Their theatrical experience also includes contemporary ensemble work and sketch comedy, notably appearing in a main role in *A Sketch of NY* at The Producers Club and as Stormy in *Somewhere Between* at The Actors Fund Theatre. Genesis’s screen credits are highlighted by a lead performance in the film *Silhouette* and supporting roles in projects such as *Underground* and *Law of Series*. In addition to appearing in various independent short films and commercial work for The Children’s Aid Society, Genesis has gained valuable professional experience on major sets, including serving as a stand-in for the Netflix series *Survival of The Thickest*.
