Jaquan Solomon
I am a thespian; a true Renaissance man whose artistry spans many realms of performance. As an actor, singer, screenwriter, and poet based in Los Angeles, California, I am blessed to create across multiple mediums. Originally from Camden, New Jersey, I grew up in the Lawnside Public School District and proudly graduated from Woodbury Sr. High School. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a minor in Creative Writing at California State University, Fullerton. At 21, I moved to Los Angeles to fully dedicate myself to the arts. Since then, I’ve gained invaluable experience in theater, film, music, and spoken word performance. I’ve had the privilege of starring in regional theater productions and leading two short films: "Justified", produced by Louis Jones Productions, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and "Jamaal", produced by Philaye Films, which earned an award for Best Director at the AI International Film Festival. As a writer, I’m currently developing a dramatic short film, an animated short film, a one-man show, and tv pilot; all surrounding themes based on my personal life experiences. Additionally, I am working on a children's book and poetry memoir. Rooted in spoken word and gospel music, my work explores themes of Black identity, faith, family, and healing. I bring intensity, vulnerability, and a sharp creative voice to every project, driven by purpose, professionalism, and a commitment to creating stories that inspire, challenge, and uplift.
