John Chizoba Vincent
John Chizoba Vincent is a Nigerian filmmaker, Film director, Screenwriter, Cinematographer and Movie Producer known for his advocacy for the Boy child — Boys Are Not Initiative and the promotion of indigenous African Stories through his films. He is author of five books - Good mama (2013), Hard Times (2015), Letter From Home (2017) , For Boys of Tomorrow (2018), and The Poet Of Witness (2025). Chizoba has won accolades for his writing and Films including the 2018, 2017, and 2019 top poets that Rock Nigeria by EGC and BN Magazine, MTP Film Head of Department of the year, Team Player of The Year, at the MTP films awards Night, Profile-Ng 'top ten filmmakers for the year' 2020, 2021 and 2022, Black pride magazine Film maker of the year 2019 - 2023. His short film DISTRACTION with Olamide was screened at Sao Paulo Film festival in Brazil and his Docu-poety Film with David Odiase was screen at African international film festival. He has written over thirty movies to his credit. He is also the CEO of Philm Republic Picture Production and Yagazie Books. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
