Corey Knight

Corey Knight

Corey Knight is a Brooklyn-born actor whose presence commands attention not with noise, but with truth. Trained in classical theatre and refined through movement, discipline, and lived experience, Corey has emerged as a grounded, versatile performer across both stage and screen. His artistic foundation was built in New York, where he studied Shakespeare, Meisner, Uta Hagen, and movement at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy during the week, and trained on weekends with the acclaimed Moving Mountains Theater Company. There, under the mentorship of Jamie Hector, Chad Coleman, and Michael Raymond James, Corey developed the technical skill and emotional intelligence that continue to shape his work today. After leaving AMDA, Corey continued his training at a university in Tennessee, where he deepened his craft through Grotowski-based physical theatre with Stephen Wang. That same season, his classical expertise earned him the lead role of King Ferdinand in Love’s Labor’s Lost at the Tennessee Regional Theatre, a performance that showcased both his command of text and his commanding stage presence. Corey’s first major television credit came during summer break in his third year of college, when he booked a guest star role on Godfather of Harlem, just after his performance as King Ferdinand. That role opened the door to a breakout opportunity: starring as Craig in HBO Max’s We Are Who We Are, directed by Luca Guadagnino. His work on the series drew widespread praise for its restraint, complexity, and emotional honesty—cementing him as a talent to watch. Since then, Corey’s rise has not gone unnoticed. He has been featured in Wonderland Magazine, Boys by Girls, and was named in The New York Times’ “Next Up”, a spotlight reserved for the most promising emerging voices in entertainment. Corey’s screen credits include guest roles in Blue Bloods, East New York, and featured roles in Not Black Enough and Nobodies.projects he credits with deepening his ability to build complex characters while honoring the foundations of his training. Next, Corey appears in the highly anticipated nationwide release The Senior, directed by Rod Lurie and starring Michael Chiklis. He will also step into his first leading role in the indie pilot series Ocean Parkway, directed by Davey Robinson. When Corey is not on set or preparing for his next role, he devotes his time to a cause close to his heart: youth mental health advocacy. He mentors aspiring actors ages 6 to 18, teaching the fundamentals of performance while encouraging young talent to dream beyond limitations. A former competitive swimmer and trained mixed martial artist, Corey brings physical precision and inner stillness to his work. Whether performing Shakespeare or navigating contemporary drama, he approaches every role with intention, intelligence, and a deep respect for story. With training rooted in discipline, a career grounded in substance, and a presence that resonates long after the scene ends, Corey Knight is not just next, he’s now.
