Luis Lassen
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. In my native Puerto Rico, I began acting at the age of 16 with plays like The Washers (Las Lavanderas), When Adam is Eve, and soap operas like Tiempo de Vivir, Tormento and Insolito. Upon arriving in New York City, I began taking acting lessons at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, then at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater, and then at the Prestigious William Esper Studios. I hold a BA in Communications from University of Sacred Heart, Santurce, PR and a MA in Hispanic Literature from Hunter College in New York City. For a few years, I took a break from acting to train with Kathleen Reed, my speech coach. In the past few years, I have written, starred in, and directed two short films: Homeless and The Teacher.
