Manolis Mavromatakis
Ι am a Greek, English and French speaking Greek actor, open to working internationally and performing in theatre, cinema, TV and Radio, since 1991, having continuous participation in more than 70 theatrical and musical performances (performed in numerous roles from both the classical and contemporary repertoire –Agamemnon, Estragon, Klov, Zorbas, Beranger, Karion, Woyzeck etc – and been honored by the Greek theatre critics, with the 2007 Karolos Koun Award for Theatrical Acting) and in more than 50 fiction movies, short films and TV productions. I can be seen in R. Roinsard’s film, LES TRADUCTEURS – 2020, in G. Tsemperopoulos' film THE ENEMY WITHIN – 2013 (nominated for Best Actor in 2014 Greek Film Academy Awards and honored with the Best Actor Award, in 2014 Nashville-USA International Film Festival and in 2015 Tehran-Iran International Urban Film Festival), in Amazon’s miniseries production, SALADE GRECQUE – 2022, directed by Cédric Klapisch, in Lotfy Nathan’s film, THE CARPENDER’S SON – 2025, in Francois Uzan’s film, ON SOURIT POUR LA PHOTO – 2021, in K. Kapakas' film URANIA – 2006 (honored with the Best Supporting Actor Award in 2007 Thessaloniki-Greek Film Festival), in J.Charitidis’ short film COWBOY – 2017 (honored with the Best Actor Award in 2017 Athens Greek Film Festival) and in K. Athousakis' short film SPINALONGA-2007 (honored with the Best Actor Award in 2007-Drama Greek Short Film Festival. I used to teach theatre acting at Veaki Drama School, and I have directed three theatrical performances for the National Theatre of Greece and the Athens-Epidaurus Festival. Special Honor in the 17th Olympia-Greece International Film Festival.
