Melissa Castro
Melissa Castro is an actress trained in both stage and screen performance, known for her ability to embody emotionally complex characters. She began her journey at Caracol Escuela (2021) and has since expanded her craft in Casa Ovella Blava, Decateatro, and Anselmo Calvo's Cinematic Acting Workshop. Most recently, she has continued developing her skills by studying the Chubbuck Technique. Melissa's theater credits include performances in Caníbales (adaptation of Macbeth, 2022), Somos (sin adjetivos) (2023), Brujas de Salem (adapted from Arthur Miller, 2023), Eva White (2023), El cisne negro (adaptation of the film, 2024) and recently in “Cómo ganarse un Oscar” (2026). On screen, she has participated in a wide range of short films, including Aura (2019), Sine Vestigium (2020), Fingir que te quiero (2022), Rojo (2023), Contra el espejo (2023) En el fondo, es falso (2024), Disrupción (2024), and Un perdón no es suficiente (2024). Her performance in Cosa bella (2024) was featured at the La Guarimba International Film Festival, further highlighting her growing presence in independent cinema. She has also taken part in innovative film platforms such as the SmartFilms Festival, with projects like Frenesí (2022), Deberes al hacer las cosas mal (2023), and Universos Femeninos (2024).
