Mona Najib Horton

Mona Najib Horton is a professional actor based in Uppsala, Sweden, known for a versatile, attuned, and grounded approach to her craft as both an actor and vocalist. She is also a U.S. citizen, eligible to work in the United States. Born to Moroccan parents, she brings a multicultural, Moroccan-American perspective to her work. Before pursuing acting, she competed as a professional soccer player and later earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of Uppsala. Najib Horton most recently appeared in the series Dead Man's Dog (2025) and En klass för sig (2026), and will next be seen in Min okända superrika tvilling (2027), SVT's first mikrodrama series. As a vocalist, she trained in Los Angeles under Tierney Sutton, a nine-time Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist, and Dorian Holley, known for his work with Michael Jackson, and most recently sang on the trailer for Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. Najib Horton studied improv and acting at The Groundlings Theatre and School and Upright Citizens Brigade, earned a vocal diploma at The Los Angeles College of Music, and has basic training in stage combat.
