Hello, I'm Nicholas Ralph, an actor hailing from the beautiful town of Nairn in the Scottish Highlands. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, but my heart and upbringing are deeply rooted in Scotland. My passion for acting led me to Inverness College and then to the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where I trained and refined my craft. Before making my way onto television screens, I had the privilege of performing in various theatre productions with the Citizens Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland. These experiences helped shape me as an actor, allowing me to explore different roles and styles. My big break came when I was cast as James Herriot in the Channel 5 and PBS Masterpiece series "All Creatures Great and Small." Bringing the iconic vet to life has been a tremendous honor. To prepare for the role, I even learned some veterinary procedures to make my portrayal as authentic as possible. The reception has been heartwarming, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to bring such an inspiring and beloved character to new audiences. Aside from acting, I have a background in association football, having played for Ross County and Nairn County during my youth. This athletic discipline has served me well in my acting career, providing a physical versatility that complements my performance on screen.
