Princess Starr
Princess Starr is a singer, vocal coach and actor and director residing in Powder Springs, Georgia. She is a graduate of Spelman College, where she majored in voice. She now teaches music/voice at Young Voices United Performing Arts School where she partners in performing arts instruction with her husband, Nic Starr. As an actor, she has graced the stage in many productions ranging from August Wilson’s “Fences” (Rose), “Seven Guitars (Vera), “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” (Bertha) to Lorraine Hansberry’s “ Raisin in The Sun” (Lena), James Baldwin’s “The Amen Corner” (Sister Margret), Pearl Cleage’s “Flyin’ West” (Miss Leah) and Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird” (Calpurnia), . She has been fortunate to sign with Houghton Talent (Atlanta) and can be seen in promotional and industrial commercials. Her acting skills have also afforded the opportunity to work in some independent films as well.
