Ramin Yazdani (Actor)

I was born in Isfahan and grew up in Iran. As a teenager I joined a professionally run theater group at the age of 16. Then I went at the age of 21 to the USA and studied at Western Michigan University, later theater and acting at the University of Illinois and cinematography at Columbia College in Chicago. 1980 I returned back to Iran and worked there as an actor. 1985 I left Iran and went to Germany. In diaspora I founded 1991 the Persian Theater and 1995 the Iranian Theater Festival in Hamburg. I worked at various theaters in Germany as an actor. I also wrote, directed and staged my own projects. At the same time I began working for film and television in the early 1990s in Europe and have since appeared in a variety of roles. I acted first in the television series "Schwarz Rot Gold", then in several episodes of the hospital series „Hallo, Onkel Doc!“ from 1990 til1994, further in films such as "Die Straßen von Berlin", „Ein Vater im Alleingang’, the Icelandic feature film "Falcons", the TV movie "Zimtstern und Halbmond", the finnish feature films "Iron Sky", and the UFA Production „Der Medicus“ with Ben Kingsley, the Berlinale winner „Kreuzweg (Stations of the Cross)“, the „Familie verpflichtet“ and the Norwegian television series „Nobel“ among many more other productions. For my title role in the award-winning feature film „Si-o-se Pol - The Last Days of Parvis K.“ I received the Best Actor awards at the Bridge Film Festival in Mitrovica-Kosovo, at the Tamil Nadu Film Festival in Chennai-India and Cardiff-Wales. In addition, I have acted recently in numerous productions including appearances in "Tatort", SKY-series "Ich und die anderen (Me and the Others) and the award winning film "Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush)", „KABUL-Series“ and the Disney+ Series „City of Blood“ ... I also took part in some radio plays and dubbing productions as voice actor and many more.
