SHARMARKE MOHAMED

Sharmaarke Mohamed was born in Somalia, an East African country located in the Horn of Africa. From an early age, Sharmaarke developed a deep passion for Bollywood and Hollywood filmmaking. Through film, he began to understand and appreciate American culture, storytelling, and the power of cinema. Personal favorites such as Denzel Washington’s Glory and Five Easy Pieces played an important role in shaping his early creative interests and his aspirations as an actor and filmmaker. A self-taught individual, Sharmaarke taught himself how to read and write in multiple languages, including English. His passion for storytelling, combined with his determination to continuously learn and grow, became a defining part of his journey. In 2013, during his teenage years, Sharmaarke moved to San Diego, California, in pursuit of new opportunities and his dream of building a career in acting and entertainment. Alongside his artistic ambitions, he developed himself through athletics and physical performance. Sharmaarke played professional soccer in Europe and has also pursued boxing, dance, and personal fitness throughout his life. Sharmaarke is the Founder of SB Production, an independent production company dedicated to creating meaningful stories and developing film, television, and media projects. Through SB Production, he continues to combine his cultural background, life experiences, and passion for storytelling to create work that connects with diverse audiences.
