Sue Ann Staake
FROM DIRECTING STORIES TO LIVING THEM After a four-decade career as a nationally recognized television Producer/Director—earning four Emmy® Awards—Sue Ann returned to acting following her retirement from broadcasting. She stepped back onto the stage after a 50-year hiatus, having acted during her school days. Her extensive storytelling background informs performances that are precise, deeply human, and richly textured. She has appeared in over a dozen community theater productions for five different companies in three states. She directed her first theatrical production, a one-woman show "Women Warriors" with Annette Hubbell. Sue Ann brings warmth and heart as her greatest strength, grounding every performance in connection, humor, and hard-earned truth. After five moves in a dozen years, she returned to her home state of Maryland where she resides with her husband of twenty-two years, a 2-year-old chihuahua mix and two senior cats.
