Travis Palmer
Travis Wade Palmer (He/Him) is a Michigan-based actor, singer, and storyteller passionate about creating emotionally grounded and dynamic performances across stage and screen. Originally from Hartland, Michigan, Travis discovered his love for theatre after sitting in on a music rehearsal for The Hunchback of Notre Dame in high school. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be part of the stories unfolding onstage and dreamed of someday being “the one swinging from the bells.” Although he originally planned to pursue a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, Travis ultimately followed his passion for performance with the support of his parents and choir director. He went on to pursue his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Oakland University, where he studied under Broadway professionals including Danny Gurwin, Amanda Lehman, Deanna Aguinaga, and Blake Whyte. He has also participated in masterclasses with artists such as Reeve Carney, Tam Mutu, Phillip Boykin, and Julia Estrada. His training spans acting, voice, and movement, including ballet, jazz, opera, Meisner technique, and the works of Stephen Sondheim. Recent credits include Godofre and Understudy Ribete in A Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs, Frog in A Year with Frog and Toad, Rae Covey’s song cycle Where We Are, and Flynn in the short film Tangerine. Drawing from his experiences as both a queer and faith-based artist, Travis values storytelling and continues to explore opportunities in theatre, film, and new works that foster authenticity, heart, and curiosity to every creative process
