Usha Rana

Usha Rana is a veteran actress with over 30 years of experience across theatre, films, television, and digital media. She began her career in Delhi’s theatre circuit with the renowned group Darpan, where she worked as both an actor and director and became known for children’s theatre. She moved to Mumbai in 2002 and went on to work in films like Pinjar, Khajoor Pe Atke, and Thank You For Coming, where she played Bhumi Pednekar’s mother-in-law. Usha is also a familiar face on Indian television, especially in popular family dramas. Often associated with Balaji Telefilms, she has played memorable Dadi and Naani characters in shows including Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Thapki Pyar Ki, Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh, and Ye Kahan Aa Gaye Hum. Fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and Haryanvi, with strong Punjabi roots, Usha brings authenticity and versatility to North Indian characters. She has also featured in the digital space, including a music video with Badshah.
