Noa Zatta
Noa Zatta is an Italian-Swiss actress born on June 11th, 2001. She is the daughter of Simonetta Checchia, actress and director, and Vivian Zatta, opera singer. She was introduced to the theatre and music industry at a very young age, as she first began attending the Permanent Theater Workshop organized by the Numeriprimi company at the Teatro No in Parma at the age of 3. At first, she performed children’s roles both in theater (especially for the Teatro No in Parma and for the Teatro Moruzzi in Noceto, with the Notturno 12 and Numeriprimi companies) and opera theatre for some of Parma’s Teatro Regio productions. In December, 2012, she acted in her first one-man-show “La Regina delle Nevi” (the Snow Queen), at the Christmas Tales exhibition at the “Palazzo del Governatore” in Parma. Around that time, she and Nadege Bruni were announcers in the competition “A face for cinema, junior edition” at the Teatro Moruzzi in Noceto, in which they conducted the regional competitors. In 2013, she played the role of “Stella” (co-star) on the set of “The Invisible Boy”, a movie by Gabriele Salvatores. In April, 2014, she played the role of “The Infanta of Spain” in the Rec'All show, based on the story "The Birthday of the Infanta" by Oscar Wilde. In 2015, she was the co-star along with Enea Barozzi in the music video of "Mavra" by the band “Il pianto di Azzurra”, produced by Areasonica Records. In April, 2016, she acted in the re-edition of the show “The Snow Queen”. The show tour ended in 2018. In March, 2016, she starred in the Italian-French short movie "Sott'acqua (Sous l'eau)", directed by Audrey Bersier, produced by Octuor Films and ECAL, selected for the Festival of Angers (FR) and for the NIFF in Neuchatel (CH). In the summer of 2016, she played the role of “Noa Zatta” (herself) in the docufilm "Il Club dei 27", directed by Mateo Zoni. In late 2016, She played the role of “Stella Morrison” again in "The invisible boy - Second generation", directed by Gabriele Salvatores. In the beginning of 2017, she was in the 12th episode (La Setta) of the "Non Uccidere 2" series, produced by RAI and Fremantle Media. In the summer of 2017, she was the protagonist in "Life on Mars", a short movie, directed by Audrey Bersier, and of "La macchina dei sogni", directed by Andrea Gianviti. She graduated in Acting for Cinema at the Film Academy "Studio Cinema International", in Verona, in July, 2019. Since 2018, she has been working in the Teatro del Cerchio in Parma as an assistant in the Acting for Cinema course. In 2019 she also worked in the cinema industry as directors' assistant for the documentary on autism, "Nella casa di Dorothy". That summer she took part in the workshops provided by Actors Centre and joined the Summer Theatre Company course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where she developed her acting abilities in English. In November 2019 she played the role of “Alba” in the short movie "Mudmonster", directed by O. B. Dealessi. In 2022, she took part in the docufilm 'La Gioia all'Improvviso', directed by Marco Mazzieri, production Vertigo Film, in the role of a pregnant girl. In 2020, she graduated with a High School Diploma in Classical Studies, achieving a score of 97/100. She then earned a Higher Education Diploma in Theatre Arts from East 15 Acting School, University of Essex, UK, with a final grade of 73/80 (Distinction). In 2024, she completed her BA (Hons) in World Performance with First-Class Honours at the same institution and began her MA in Acting for Digital Media. As a bilingual individual, she speaks and acts in English and Italian. She lives between London and Italy.
