Xavier Simmons

Orlando based actor and model. With both experience in front of the camera as an actor and model and behind the camera as a grip operator and gaffer, I claim to have nothing but passion and love for the world of entertainment and the craft of storytelling. Being able to make someone's ideas come to life is what drives me to become a good actor and crew member, no matter how big or small the role. Working alongside the camera and lighting helped me appreciate the a set and understand how performance fits into the grand scheme of storytelling. The focus, determination, adrenaline, and just the opportunity to bring apart of myself to a scene is what ultimately drives me to acting. Acting wasn't always my calling though. As a natural born athlete I was pulled towards more performance on a field or a court rather than a stage or a set. But with the more I learned, I discovered that the process isn't as different as one would think considering the amount of reps and practice it takes to become great. Acting classes, techniques, and self tapes all help refine my acting skills and keep my material fresh.
